New Concert Series comes to Temecula Wine Country!
Our new “Friends & Wine” Summer Concert Series will be hosted by Jazz and R&B legend, Ronnie Laws at Leoness Cellars.
The 2013 season kicks off on June 9th with Joe Sample, pioneer of contemporary jazz piano.
“Southern California’s Wine Country has been attracting world-class music artists to area vineyards for many years. We are honored to contribute to the growth of the music and arts scene in the valley,” said Joel Reese, concert producer at Leoness Cellars.
The series will benefit Our Nicolas Foundation in providing music therapy and musical instruments to students with autism in TemeculaValley schools.
“We are encouraging guests to bring musical instruments to the concerts to donate, be it as small as a tambourine, or as large as a guitar or an electronic keyboard,” commented Reese.
“More than a concert series, we want this to be a community experience where the power of music is shared beyond the stage.”
The series will showcase legendary music artists “Under the Stars” on the estate vineyard lawn and in an “Unplugged” setting in the candle-lit barrel room.
“Both the lawn and barrel room are quite intimate, offering an unforgettable experience where you feel you have a one-on-one connection with the artist. Both venues provide the perfect setting for uniting friends with wine and music,” says Laws.
One of the original members of Earth Wind and Fire, Ronnie Laws is celebrating fifty years in show business. From performing in 1963 with Kenny Rogers to hosting his own “Friends & Wine” concert series at Leoness Cellars, Ronnie has worked with many of the featured artiststhrough the years, making for some exciting collaborations both in song and in story.
The concert series features Joe Sample on June 9th, and Ronnie Laws with Eloise Laws and Phillip Ingram on July 20th

Joe Sample will perform Sunday, June 9th at 4:30 PM at Leoness Cellars, 38311 De Portola Road.
The top tier VIP concert ticket includes a winery tour, meet & greet wine reception with the artists, and prime seating.
